It is a beautiful fall day!  Crisp air and the leave are falling fast.  I know Winter is around the corner but that is fine.  I love Fall!  I know you have heard this a thousand time in reading my post.  I am preparing my Holiday Menu!  My favorite thing to do in the fall is,   you guessed it..... Bake!   Pumpkin Pie and all the cinnamon spicy goodies that goes with it. 

Just last week I found a wonderful place to market all my goodies.  My family recipe for my Cinnamon Rolls is one of those goodies.   That recipes is very close to my heart.  It was my Grandmother's ( Eva Higginbotham's) recipe and was dated 1886 when I got it.  My Mother (Gladys  Higginbotham Sheridan) gave this to me when I was 17.  I cherish it and it will remain a part of me as long as I live.   I will hand it down in a cookbook for my children to have forever.

As I said earlier,  I found a place to make and market my baked good.   It is the perfect place.  I wanted a place with a homey feel.  Brown's Amish Food Store in Nitro , WV  is the perfect place. When you walk in you see friendly faces with a friendly greeting.   There will be a wooden table just inside the door filled with all kinds of goodies.  Anything from fudge , hard candy and more.  Brown also has a resturant so you can enjoy a hot sandwich or sit and eat your goodies from The Merry Baker's!

Fall Treats!

Love the cool Fall air! It is the perfect time to bake. Rick and I are getting ready for the "Metal on A Mission" Make a Wish Foundation Benefit! Saturday, October 3rd. We have Candied Apples, Cinnamon Rolls, Banana Bread, Cookies and Popcorn Balls! It is for a great cause and we expect a large turnout! There is a Special Little Girl in our life that has been granted her wish from the Make A Wish Foundation so we are especially honored to be able to help with this event!

October Fun!

Wow, tomorrow is October 1st! Halloween is coming soon. What do have planned? Rick and I have a fun time planned for the kiddies! We went shopping and found some great scarry decorations at Big Lots and Dollar Tree. I am creating some scarry, but tasty treats for all the goblins. Even some of the Big Kids will be excited! We will have a lobster in our couldren with fresh veggie for you to enjoy! Come and visit my kittys!!

Metal on a Mission Make A Wish Benefit

Excited to be attending the Metal on a Mission Make A Wish Foundation Benefit Sunday, October 3rd. It thrills me to be a part of this wonderful event. My husband and I will be sitting up a booth and suppling the baked goods along with some Caramel Apples and Homemade Caramel Popcorn! Can't Wait! I will post some pictures of the event.

Farmers Market Day

Today was market day at the hospital. There was a huge selection of fruit and veggies! I got Granny Smith apples and Pinapples! Bob gave me a sample of the pinaepple and it was so good! I cut it up and made this wonderful dip to serve with it. Since I love fall I incorporated the pinapple with my Fall table. After all Apples represent Fall.! Nothing any better than a nice and juicy apple pie! Visit me again soon to see whats next in my world of Pumpkin and Apples!

My favorite time of the year!

My favorite season of the year is Fall! I love picking pumpkins, baking all those favorite goodies, mums growing in the flower bed and grandchilden playing in the leaves. Soon I will be posting pictures of my favorite desserts for fall. Pumpkin Bread , Pumpkin Cookies and dont forget the Cranberry Cookies!!
